Hi, so i bought a 2i2 and i have been recording eletric guitars for a song. When i finished the instrumental i went to record the vocals, so i grabbed my RODE-Nt1-a, pulged into my Scarlett 2i2, and turned on the phantom power. When i did this i saw the mixer in my Daw moving up, but like 3 seconds later he went to silence.

The biggest risk with casually leaving the phantom power on is that it can/will destroy a ribbon microphone.
